The last update to GIRS’s Privacy Policy was posted on 11/1/2019. This document governs the privacy policy of This Website (www.globalintegratedrenewablesolutions.com). Any capitalized terms not defined herein will have the same meaning as where they are defined elsewhere on This Website.

personally identifiable to you and obtained in order to provide you with a product or

‘Users’ are anyone who reads or makes any use of This Website or its materials, whether online, downloaded, or copied from This Website.

‘Active Users’ are anyone who fills out any field in any form on This Website, posts comments to any blog post on This Website, sends an email to or calls GIRS, whether to use the Solar Panel Cost & Savings Calculator, request any services, or request any materials by downloading or email or other means. It also includes anyone who contacts GIRS regarding anything related to This Website, whether using forms or other mechanisms on This Website or by any other means. All Active Users are also Users.

‘Dealers’ are any merchants who sell photo-voltaic solar equipment or related equipment and/or provide sales, consulting, installation, and repair services for such equipment.

‘Service’ is any service GIRS offers or provides to Users. Whenever a User requests a Service, that User becomes an Active User and is explicitly asking GIRS to send contact and any other information the User has given GIRS to a Dealer, which it will do.

‘Referred Dealer’ is a Dealer to whom GIRS has forwarded your Personal Information.

‘Product’ refers to any products GIRS sells or gives away.

All text, information, graphics, design, and data offered through This Website or Services,
whether produced by Users or by GIRS, are collectively known as GIRS’s ‘Content.’ Content
posted by Users is called ‘User Content.’

Your Personal Information (PII)

GIRS’s Privacy Policy tells you what PII GIRS may collect from you, how GIRS may share your PII, and how you can limit this sharing of your PII.

Information GIRS Collects

Generally you control the amount and type of information you provide to GIRS when using This Website. Active Users must provide PII in order for GIRS to provide them with various features and/or functionality of This Website. As an Active User, GIRS collects your PII in the following ways:

If You Use the Solar Panel Cost & Savings Calculator

GIRS collects whatever information you enter into the fields for Average Monthly Electric Bill and Total Electric Usage for the Last 12 Months.

If You Request Information

If you request information, including but not limited to Solar Buying Guides or answers to questions, GIRS collects your email address and zip code. If you also provide your first and/or last name, which are optional, GIRS collects those as well.

If You Request Help

If you request help, GIRS collects your name, email address, and physical address. If you choose to provide any other optional information regarding the help, such as your phone number, electric usage, electric bill, or other information, GIRS collects that as well.

Online Forms

There are online forms used on This Website. The information you enter into these online forms may contain PII.
 

Computer Information Collected

When you use This Website, GIRS automatically collects certain computer information through the interaction of your mobile phone or web browser with This Website. Such information is typically (but not always) considered NPI.

Sharing information with third parties

GIRS does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your PII to third parties for marketing purposes. However, GIRS may use your nonpersonal information for data aggregation purposes which might be sold to other parties at GIRS’s discretion. Any such data aggregation would not contain any of your PII. 

Community discussion boards

This Website may offer the capability for users to communicate with each other through online community discussion boards. GIRS does not filter or monitor what is posted on such discussion boards. If you chose to post on these discussion boards, you should use care when exposing any PII as such information is not protected by GIRS’s privacy policy nor is GIRS liable should you choose to disclose your PII through such postings.

Legally required releases of information

GIRS may be legally required to disclose your PII if such disclosure is (a) required by subpoena, law, or other legal process; (b) necessary to assist law enforcement officials or government enforcement agencies; necessary to investigate violations of or otherwise enforce GIRS’s Legal Terms; (d) necessary to protect GIRS from legal action or claims from third parties, including you and/or other Active Users; (e) necessary to protect the legal rights, personal/real property, or personal safety of GIRS, its users, employees, or affiliates.

Disclosures to successors

If GIRS is sold or merges in whole or in part with another business that would become responsible for providing the website to you, GIRS retains the right to transfer your PII to the new business. Retaining Your Personal Information 

GIRS retains information it collects from you (including PII) for only as long as GIRS needs such information for legal, business, or tax purposes.

Protecting Children’s Privacy

GIRS follows the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Even though This Website is not designed for use by anyone under the age of 18 (child), GIRS realizes that a child may attempt to access This Website.
